Important condition for Fireman applicants

Fireman candidates must upload a Preliminary Medical Examination (PME) certificate in the prescribed Annexure-A format with their application.

The certificate must be issued by an eligible government health-services medical practitioner not below the rank of Assistant Civil Surgeon or equivalent (Allopathy). It is valid for six months and must also be valid when the candidate attends the Physical Efficiency Test.

Salary and Monthly Pay

The advertisement provides pay-matrix ranges and approximate monthly Basic Pay plus Dearness Allowance (DA) at the starting pay level.

Application Fee and Refund Rules

All candidates must initially pay the applicable processing fee online. Full or partial refunds are available only for candidates who attend the written test, according to the categories and conditions stated in the official PDF.

Fee DetailsCodes 07–15Codes 16–30
Initial processing fee₹750₹500
Refund for eligible exempt categories after attending written test₹750₹500
Refund for other candidates after attending written test₹500₹400
Effective application fee after eligible refund₹250₹100

Refund categories: Women, SC/ST, PwBD and eligible ex-servicemen receive a full processing-fee refund if they attend the written test. Other candidates receive the prescribed partial refund. Candidates who do not attend the written test are not eligible for the refund.

Important clarification from page 23 of the official PDF: For post codes 16–30, the advertisement states the processing fee numerically as ₹500 but incorrectly spells it out as “Rupees seven Hundred and Fifty only.” The refund calculations use ₹500. Applicants should check the final payable amount displayed on the official application portal. This discrepancy is present in the government advertisement itself.

Payment is accepted online only. Candidates should enter accurate bank-account details for any applicable processing-fee refund.
