Goa GPSC Recruitment 2026: 40 Vacancies, Eligibility, Last Date & Apply Online

Goa GPSC Recruitment 2026: The Goa Public Service Commission has released Advertisement No. 10 Year 2026 for 40 vacancies in the Directorate of Vigilance, Goa Medical College and Directorate of Health Services.

The recruitment includes 37 direct-recruitment vacancies and three posts to be filled by transfer on deputation. Applications for direct recruitment close on 23 October 2026, while applications for deputation posts close on 23 November 2026.

The notification includes Tutor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Biochemist and Technical Examiner positions. Candidates should check the post-wise qualifications and reservation requirements before applying.

Tutor Vacancy Reservation

One of the Tutor vacancies is reserved for eligible persons with specified locomotor disabilities, including the conditions listed in the official advertisement. This is included within the 25 posts, not an additional vacancy.

Important – PwD Reservation for Tutor: As stated in Goa GPSC Advertisement No. 10/2026, if a suitable candidate is not available for the specified PwD-reserved Tutor vacancy, an equal number of posts must be kept vacant from the General category, in accordance with the conditions mentioned in the official notification.

The single Assistant Professor vacancy in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing category.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must satisfy the educational, professional and experience requirements prescribed for their selected post.

1. Senior Technical Examiner and Technical Examiner

These positions are available through transfer on deputation to eligible officers serving under the Central, State or Union Territory Governments.

Senior Technical Examiner: Officers holding an analogous post on a regular basis, or officers in Pay Level 11 with five years of regular service in the grade and the prescribed Civil or Construction Engineering degree.

Technical Examiner: Officers holding an analogous post, or meeting the prescribed service requirements in Level 10, Level 8 or Level 7, together with the specified engineering qualification.

2. Assistant Professor – Medical Gastroenterology, Surgical Gastroenterology and Cardiac Anaesthesiology

Candidates require a recognised medical qualification, the relevant postgraduate speciality qualification and the prescribed teaching or research experience.

The advertisement generally requires at least one year of teaching or research experience in the concerned super-speciality after the qualifying D.M. or M.Ch. degree.

Exception: Candidates holding a three-year D.M. or M.Ch. degree do not require additional experience after obtaining that degree, as specified in the notification.

Knowledge of Konkani is essential, while knowledge of Marathi is desirable.

3. Assistant Professor – Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

Candidates require the prescribed recognised medical and postgraduate qualifications, along with at least three years of experience in the concerned speciality as a Lecturer or in an equivalent teaching post after the postgraduate degree.

The one vacancy is reserved for the specified Deaf and Hard of Hearing disability category.

4. Biochemist

Candidates must possess an M.Sc. in Biochemistry as a principal subject from a recognised university and knowledge of Konkani.

Experience in biochemical work at a recognised institution and knowledge of Marathi are desirable.

5. Associate Professor – Nursing

Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Nursing in the concerned speciality with at least 55% marks or equivalent.

The notification prescribes a minimum of ten years of teaching experience in a recognised College of Nursing after the Master's degree. Alternatively, where that condition is not met, it provides for at least five years of teaching in a recognised College of Nursing with ten years of aggregate teaching experience in recognised nursing schools and colleges.

Knowledge of Konkani is essential. Additional desirable qualifications and experience are listed in the official PDF.

6. Tutor

The essential qualification is a Master's degree in Nursing from a recognised university.

If a candidate with a Master's degree in Nursing is unavailable, the notification permits consideration of candidates with B.Sc. Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and three years of experience, including one year of teaching experience in a School or College of Nursing.

Knowledge of Konkani is essential, and knowledge of Marathi is desirable.

Age Limit and Pay Scale

The advertised direct-recruitment positions have an upper age limit of 45 years, subject to applicable rules and relaxations. Deputation posts have separate service-eligibility conditions.

Application Fee and Payment Instructions

The advertisement provides two methods for payment of the applicable application fee:

Online payment: Complete payment through the portal and download the e-receipt showing successful payment.

Offline payment: Generate an e-challan and make cash payment at an SBI branch situated in Goa. The bank stamp is essential, and the stamped challan must be submitted to the Commission's office on or before the relevant application deadline.

Important: Although an e-challan may remain valid for seven days from generation, payment and submission must still be completed by the application deadline. Late fee payments are rejected without refund.

The advertisement does not specify one uniform application-fee amount for all applicants. Check the amount applicable to your category and post in the official application system and GPSC instructions.

Selection Process

The Commission may shortlist candidates for interview if a large number of applications are received. Meeting the minimum educational qualifications does not automatically guarantee an interview call.
